Lets get more kids on bikes! Free Bike event Monday, September 7th to support Richard Tom Foundation, who lost his life cycling near his home in VT #RESVT #CESUVT

The Richard Tom Foundation (RTF) is pleased to announce the 1st annual Kids’ Crit to be held during the Dealer.com Burlington Criterium on Monday, September 7, 2015 (Labor Day).
The Kids’ Crit is a non-competitive event for ages 7-10. Young cyclists will have an opportunity to ride a portion of the Burlington Criterium circuit. A criterium is a bicycle race where cyclists ride a specified number of laps on a short course and roads are closed to vehicular traffic.
There will be two fields, one for each of 7-8 year olds and 9-10 year olds. The 7-8 year olds will ride one city block (about 500m) and the 9-10 year olds will ride two city blocks. Each race will have a separate start time. The rider limit will be capped at 30 riders for each field. While the event is free, pre-registration is required and may be completed on-line at www.bikereg.com or on the day of the event at the RTF tent located in City Hall Park adjacent to St. Paul Street.
The Richard Tom Foundation was created to honor Richard Tom who lost his life while cycling near his home in Vermont.  The Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of cyclists of all ages including making resources available so that all may discover adventure and joy on roads and trails.
