This Week in P.E at RES

This week was the beginning of our basketball unit.  We worked on dribbling with our fingertips and focused on keeping our head-up. Scholars practiced their passing and stepping into the pass in order to get extra power on their.  Lastly, scholars learned about BEEF (balance, eyes, elbow, follow-through) and how to shoot a basketball.  The muscle of the week is our biceps, which are used during pull-ups and other movements involving pulling things toward your body.  Our nutrition conversations had to do with spinach and carrots and what they do for our bodies.  Spinach is full of iron, that helps bring oxygen to your muscles and carrots are full of vitamin A, which helps with your eyesight.

Have a nice weekend!!!
