Biking in P.E
May 16th-June 3rd
Kindergarten and 1st Grade

May 5th, 2016

Dear Kindergarten Parents/Guardians,

This spring, kindergarten and 1st grade will be doing a biking unit during P.E. class.  The unit will run from May 16th until June 3rd.  We will be using the drop off loop and surrounding areas for this unit.  Our goal is to teach bike safety along with biking skills to help scholars become independent riders.  The Drop Off Loop will be closed until 2:25 during this time frame.  I apologize ahead of time for any parking issues this might cause.

With the money raised from Mr. G’s Gymboree, we were able to purchase 20 new bikes from Earl’s Bike Shop.   Big Thank You to Earl’s for giving us an amazing discount on the bikes.  Scholars may also bring in their own bikes for the day and park them outside by the bike rack near the entrance to the playground.  Helmets will be provided; however your child is welcome to bring in their own helmet and store it in their classroom.

Mr. G needs your help to make biking run as smoothly as possible.   If you have some free time in your schedule and are able to volunteer, please email me at the address below.  No experience required! 1st Grade has PE 12:05-12:45 and Kindergarten from 1:50-2:30.
