This month in PE we have been learning to snowboard. Burton Snowboards donated brand new indoor and outdoor equipment to RES. This will allow our K-2nd grade scholars to learn to snowboard using the best equipment available. Scholars will learn the basics about a proper snowboard stance, turning, jumping, and slowing down inside during gym class. Today we were able to put our skills to the test by progressing to outdoor riding on flat ground. After vacation we will strap on the helmets and learn to glide down a small hill. Both 1st and 2nd grade scholars will have the opportunity to take their skills to the next level when we go on field trips to Stowe Mountain Resort and Cochran's Ski Area.
