In Their Own Words

This weeks Purple Paw Award goes to a scholar in Mrs. Riggs class.  I thought their response to the question "What's the difference between fresh foods and processed foods?" was simple and to the point. Fresh foods are foods from nature that have no preservatives or additives, processed foods are normally prepared in a factory.  Processed foods tend to have sugar, fat, or salt added for flavor.

Remember to eat from a variety of food groups, eat the rainbow, and try adding fresh foods into your diet.
