EQ of the Week
This week's Purple Paw Awards goes to Mrs. Purvee's class for their wonderful artwork about grains. I was impressed with their engagement and hard work. The 2nd PuIrple Paw Award goes to two scholars, one from Mrs. Robinson's class and the other from Mrs. Ayer's class. Both scholars worked very hard on projects outside of class and contributed insightful answers about cereals during class.
Essential Questions of the week October 21, 2013
1. What does fiber do for your body?
Fiber helps your digestive system, makes you feel full, and helps fight diabetes and heart disease
2. What is a carbohydrate/carb?
Carbs are different types of sugars and are energy for your body. Simple carbs found in fruits, cane sugar, etc give you short burst of energy and complex carbs found in whole grains give you longer lasting energy.
